This is a gem - a delightful period cottage situated behind wrought iron railings in a pretty grass courtyard of listed medieval stone cottages grouped around the old village pump. Pump Yard is a magical setting tucked beneath the hill at the foot of Shaftesbury, a lovely Saxon hilltop town founded by King Alfred in 888 AD.
Shaftesbury has magnificent views across the Blackmore Vale. The steep, cobbled Gold Hill was made famous by the Hovis advertisements. The town has some excellent pubs, hotels and restaurants and a good range of shops. The well known "Two Brewers" is some 200 yds away from the cottage, as is Gold Hill.
We have taken enormous care in the restoration of this cottage and its preparation as a small, high quality holiday home.
